Spiced citrus tea
Ingredients:
Pineapple juice — 8 cups
Orange — 1 PC.
Cinnamon sticks — 7 PCs.
Lemon — 1 PC.
Ginger — 2 tsp
Cloves — 3 PCs.
Nutmeg — 1 tsp
Cardamom — 1 tsp
Pepper: black pepper — 1 tsp
Tea — 6 pack.
Honey — to taste
Champagne is semi-dry white — to taste
Preparation:
1. Add all the spices guided by personal taste and preferences. If you use whole and not crushed spices, they will be easier to drain.
2. In a deep pan, mix cinnamon sticks or 2 tsp of ground cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, cardamom, white or black pepper, pineapple juice (or orange juice, lemonade or any other juice), add finely chopped slices of orange and lemon, pour honey or other sweetener and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat to low, add favorite tea (Rooibos, white tea, green tea…) and cook from 10 to 90 minutes. The longer the more intense the flavour will be received at the output.
3. Filter the tea, pour into cups and serve warm with slices of oranges and lemons.
4. You can also get a good cooling fruit tea in the fridge and drink it whenever you want for 1 week.
