Ingredients for the dough:
— 1 egg
— 250 gr of cottage cheese
— 150 gr butter at room temperature
— 250 gr flour
— 1 teaspoon of baking powder
— 1/2 teaspoon sugar
— 1/2 teaspoon salt
For the filling:
— 150 g mozzarella (or any cheese of your choice)
— 1-3 cloves of garlic
— 1 tablespoon of sour cream
— small handful fresh (or dried) thyme leaves
— 1 egg
— pinch of salt
— small handful of sesame seeds
Preheat the oven to 190 C.
Mix the cheese with butter, add egg, mix well.
Flour mixed with baking powder, salt and sugar, add to the mass of curd, oil and eggs. Knead the dough. It is to be plastic and not very steep.
Leave the dough to rest for 10 minutes, and yet to do filling.
To grate cheese on a coarse grater, chop the garlic. Mix cheese, chopped garlic, sour cream and thyme.
Divide the dough into two pieces, one slightly bigger than the other. Roll each part into a ball.
On a floured table roll each ball into a circle (larger and smaller diameter), of a thickness ~5-8 mm.
Smaller circle to put on the covered baking paper baking tray, brush the edges with water and spread the cheese filling over the entire area. Cover with the second circle.
