Fruit stripes
Ingredients:
125 g butter, soft
125 g sour cream
1 tbsp sugar
250 g flour (1.5 cups)
vanilla
zest of lemon or orange, optional
Separately:
jam for the filling
powdered sugar for dusting
Preparation:
Whisk the soft butter with the sugar, vanilla and sour cream. Sift the flour and add to oil mixture. Knead the dough, divide in half, wrap with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 180-190 degrees. Sprinkle a work table with flour, roll a portion of dough into a rectangle. Cut into strips with a width of about 7 cm. The length of the strips will lay out the stuffing, roll up the Swiss roll and cut into small stripes. Put biscuits on a baking sheet and bake in a hot oven for 20 minutes or until tender. Cookies allow to cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
