Delicious onion rings
Ingredients:
— 135 grams of flour
— Salt
— Ground black pepper
— Chilli powder
— 250 ml of yoghurt
— 2 eggs
— 3 onions
— 20 ml of vegetable oil
— 100 grams of potato chips
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 200 C. In a large bowl, mix 1/4 cup of flour, half a teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon black and 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper. In another medium bowl, combine yogurt, eggs and 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons flour. Whisk, whisk until smooth dough. Chips should be well crushed. Peel onions and cut into rings about a centimeter wide.
Spread on baking parchment and grease with vegetable oil. Throw in a hot oven for 8 minutes — or until oil sizzle. In the meantime, get covered onion rings in flour mixture in a large bowl. Dip each ring into the batter and let excess drip off. Then drag to the ring milled chips. Ready rings lay on a baking sheet and bake each side until golden brown for 8 minutes on average. Sprinkle with salt until the onion rings are still hot. Serve with any interesting sauce. You can mix plain yogurt with herbs.
